Special Event: Important but Lesser-Known Composers

DUO MUNDI, the thrilling piano duo of George Lopez and Gulimina Mahamuti, will lead our Annual Conference. They will discuss composers we should know including Florence Price, Amy Beach, Robert Muczinski, Connor Chee, Cesar Cui, Dimitry Kabalevski, Sergei Bortkewicz, Nikolai Kapustin, Joseph Suk, Astor Piazzolla, Alberto Ginastera, among others. Please join us and learn about these prolific composers and hear their music. The more exposure we get to different types of music, the better our appreciation and, hopefully, our performance!

This Annual Conference is for all types of musicians at all levels. Our guests may be pianists, but they will talk about composers who wrote music for various instruments. Joseph Suk, for example, was the violinist who accompanied Dvorak in his musical exploits.
