Sondra Mills hosted the second Cadenza Recital of the season at her lovely home and music room in American University Park on November 17th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Nine pianists played a really delightful program of Beethoven, Chopin, both Clara and Robert Schumann, Vincent d’Indy (who isn’t played often enough, it was said) and the Ukrainian composer Sergei Bortkiewicz. The music was so varied and everyone played at a very high level.
Cadenza recitals are intended to showcase intermediate to advanced levels, and this was no exception to that rule.
