Chances are, you like Beethoven Sonatas. Some of us have played a few of them. If you love Beethoven Sonatas, you may have Beethoven: The Complete Piano Sonatas by John O’Conor. On Sunday, March 22nd, we have a chance to see and hear John O’Conor, the famed pianist, teach us The Keys to Mastering and Performing Beethoven Sonatas. The event will be at the Jordan Kitts Fairfax Showroom, 2 p.m.
Annual Party
Please mark your calendars for our Annual Party which will be held on Sunday, September 13th, 3-6 p.m. in DC. To those who are new, our Annual Party is a chance for members to reconnect, meet new friends, learn about how the organization is doing, and listen to remarkable performances. The Annual Party is also a chance for you to bring a guest and share the joy of being a part of AMSF. We are notifying everyone of this date well in advance so that you might take it into consideration as you plan your vacation schedules. We hope to see you there!
2026 Challenges
How are we doing with the two AMSF challenges for the year?
Invite One: This is a challenge for each member to invite a friend or family member to an Encore performance or our Annual Party, both of which are open to the public.
Learn a Piece Different-from-your-usual: Some of us have a wide repertoire; others stick to their favorite composers, period, or genre. This is a challenge to learn a piece that is unlike the type to which we gravitate. It does not have to be difficult, just different.
